Early Childhood Programs ( ECP) at Brotherhood Synagogue help our community’s youngest children grow and flourish in an atmosphere where Jewish life, learning, values, and traditions are nurtured and celebrated. Cognitive skills along with social, emotional, and physical development are encouraged through music, movement, theater arts, storytelling, learning activities, play, and arts & crafts with a special focus on Shabbat, holidays, and Hebrew language. Our weekly classes emphasize joyful Jewish experiences and a connection to community in a safe and fun learning environment.
Please note: Class size is limited and applicants are enrolled on a first come, first served basis. If a class is full and you wish to be on a waitlist, please contact us. There are no makeups or refunds for missed classes. Please email Roberta if you have any other questions about the program.

Baby Class for Children 3-12 Months with Saskia Lane

Details: Set in a quiet, carpeted, sunny space on the 4th floor of the synagogue, our baby class is held in a relaxed atmosphere. Activities include music (Hebrew and universal favorite songs) and movement, as well as stimulating activities which make use of fun props. All babies must be attended by either a parent or caregiver.

Details: Toddler class activities include free play, music for kids and songs about Jewish life, movement, art projects, and a small snack. There is a focus on Jewish holidays, some Hebrew words, and an emphasis on Jewish family values. We encourage parents, whenever possible, to participate in the program along with their child. All children must be attended by either a parent or caregiver.

Thursday Corner: Jewish Life, Culture, & Traditions for 3-5 Year Olds with Daniel Meron

Details: Thursday Corner is our fun class for 3-5 year olds which focuses on Jewish and Israeli traditions and culture. Holidays and their related songs and traditions will be highlighted along with Shabbat observances, customs, and songs. The class is taught in English but Hebrew songs and letters will be a strong component along with storytelling, movement, games, dancing, and arts & crafts.
