Latkes & Vodka: Chanukah Celebration with Pharoah's Daughter
Saturday, December 13, 2025 • 23 Kislev 5786
8:00 PM - 11:30 PM![]()

We are excited to bring back one of our community’s signature events featuring a special musical performance from Pharaoh’s Daughter with longtime friend of Brotherhood Synagogue, Basya Schechter, followed by a festive reception with, you guessed it, Latkes (with sour cream and apple sauce) and Vodka (to toast to our good health and fortune) along with some sufganiot in the Community Room.
Pharaoh's Daughter weaves a spellbinding tapestry of sound that bridges continents and centuries. Led by vocalist, composer and oud player Basya Schechter, the band blends Middle Eastern, North African and Ashkenazi Jewish melodies with psychedelic folk and experimental rock textures. Praised by critics for its “transcendent fusion of the sacred and sensual” (The New York Times) and “a sound both ancient and urgent” (Billboard), Pharaoh’s Daughter has captivated audiences worldwide—from Lincoln Center to the Jerusalem Festival—with music that feels simultaneously devotional, daring and deeply human. Doors open at 7:30 PM.
